Join the Champion Team!

The Solna Axemen are a champion team, not a team of champions.

Stockholm Premiers 2007, 2008, we also took out the 2008 National Championships (”SM-Guld”).

But we’re always looking for new players to grow our club, and to grow the great sport of Australian Football in this country.

So it doesn’t matter if you’ve played the game your whole life, or never picked up a footy. Everyone is welcome to come and play with Stockholm’s most exciting Australian Football team.

If you’re interested in playing the world’s most exciting game (and Sweden’s fastest-growing team sport), come down to one of our training sessions or games, or simply drop us a line.

We train every Monday and Wednesday, 19:00, at Universitetet back field. Check out the map, so you know exactly where to find us.

What is Australian Football?

Australian Football (AFL, Aussie Rules, Footy, and many other names…) is the oldest form of football in the world, having started over 150 years ago in Melbourne.

The game has been played competitively in Sweden since 1994. There are teams located all over Sweden, with four teams currently battling it out for the title of Stockholm Champions.
